The Patch Quilt & Boundaries
The celebration of the Refugee Week was a chance to think about the meaning of the boundaries
related to the lives of human beings. With pictures of feet on the ground from different countries or cities, I wanted to represent the human need for crossing geographical boundaries; which in turn is influenced by political,
economic, and climatic conditions. It is also part of human nature to wander; we have lived as nomads for most of our existence. The refugees community and several locals were engaged to be part of a video where I interpreted the architectural boundaries in line with human perception (in terms of space modelling to meet human needs and feelings). The technique used for the video somehow reflects the way human beings capture and keep their memories: a sequence of time snapshots rather than a continuous movement has been chosen.
